"During the current COVID-19 crisis North West Gynaecology consultants are supporting the NHS and have had to reduce their private work due to NHS commitments. We are still able to offer consultations for existing patients if required, and depending on the degree of urgency, some new consultations, although this may need to be by telephone or video. Please contact our administration team to enquire about this"

Gynaecological Cancer

Gynaecological Cancers include Cancers of the Ovary, Fallopian tube, Peritoneum, Endometrium (womb), Cervix, Vulva and Vagina.  Information about the different types of cancers and links to support organisations can be found in the ‘medical conditions’ section of the NWG website  If a Gynaecological Cancer is suspected or has been diagnosed, it is important to see a sub-specialty accredited Gynaecological Oncologist as they will have received the appropriate training and experience to allow the best possible care for all patients.

In addition Gynaecological Cancer specialists will treat Cervical and Vulval pre-cancers when an abnormal cervical smear has been reported, or pre-cancerous changes have been found on the Vulva.
